Los Angeles for All and the 8th Los Angeles Anarchist Book Fair invite you to the Los Angeles Rising Picnic on Sunday, August 13th 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Elysian Park.

Our cohosts include Aetna Street Solidarity, Community Services Unlimited, El Sereno Community Land Trust, Extinction Rebellion Los Angeles, Indigenous Oaxacan Cooperativa, LA Coop Lab, Los Angeles Democracy Vouchers, Neighborhood Council Sustainability Alliance, Palms Unhoused Mutual Aid, Reclaiming Our Homes, South Bay Abolitionist Collective, and The River Project.
Everyone is welcome to attend, especially if you want to build and fight for a liberated city of Los Angeles. Bring your loved ones, friends, comrades, children, and furry buddies. We will have a moon bounce, carnival games and prizes, and awkward icebreakers to get to know each other!
The picnic area is well shaded from the sun. It has four picnic tables and four BBQ pits. The spot is near Grace Simmons Lodge and the Chávez Ravine Arboretum. Bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on the grass.

• 1:00 – 1:30 PM – Folks arrive, settle in, and eat
• 1:30 – 2:00 PM – Welcome and small group conversations
• 2:00 – 2:30 PM – Report back
• 2:30 – 3:30 PM – Carnival games and prizes
• 3:30 – 4:00 PM – Closing circle
